Surfer Jim?
We have not heard from Surfer Jim in a while.
Hey, Jim, are you out there? Give us an update on your travels to Baja and how things are going in retirement.

Ahh... good to hear from you again Jim. You are overdue for a Baja trip.
I had a great photo of you standing on top of a washed out bridge on the way to Shell Island in 2004. But, I lost it somehow.
David, if you have it, please post it again.

Was down at the SAN FELIPE 250 a few weeks ago to support some friends racing. Next planned trip will be BAJA 500. Still up for some exploration some
time.

Six years ago?.....wow.
I was into Matomi for a few miles last year for the 250 . My friend broke the rear diff and I had to tow him out of the canyon a few miles. Got stuck
for a while myself during the rescue....some digging and air down of tires got us going finally. Another 40 something miles back down Moreila road to
Pete's Camp in the dark while towing made for some BAJA memories.

Nice, a little adventure... and a successful rescue.
How is Pete's Camp these days... I've heard that it's changed a lot... has a shopping center at the entrance, etc.

Time flys when you are having fun!
Remember my daughter, Sarah? ... here she is that trip at Nuevo Mazatlan, at 13 and learning how to go four wheeling in a Tacoma!

Well, she is 19 now and today we are helping her move into her own apartment! Yes, time flys!
Here she is last year (with my son Chris) on Father's Day...

Now I have to go find my MATOMI hat after seeing it on the horse (donkey?). It is still around and I use it from time to time. Who made those?
There are some new buildings on the highway close to PETE'S entrance but not so much a shopping center. The rest hasn't changed much.....food is still
"bad".
At every race weekend there is always a few camps up all night and making noise late into the evening. This year OUR camp was one of those. One side
benefit to being a "senior" is that it is now possible to sleep through it.

Mexray made the hats and shirts and created the Viva Baja banner... I have it on my home page:

I've heard that when your belly button pops out it means you are about to have a baby.
