Does he take drop-ins, or is it necessary to make an appointment? I don't know the protocol for seeing a dentist in Baja.

I also have seen the dentist and for cleaning & cavities he's good. The problem I had is appointments with him don't always work. I had a 9 0'clock and he didn't show. I went to the hardware store across the street after waiting a half hour and 10 minutes later I returned and he had someone else in the chair and others waiting. After 45 min. I left frustrated. He does a good job and is a very nice guy. So it seems he does take walk ins. Actually the first time I saw him I just wanted to make an appointment for cleaning and he took me after a 10 min. wait.

Bob- Are his prices reasonable. I am pretty sure they would beat U.S. price all to hell.

Russ- While this is frustrating, I am sure it is not the first time you have encountered this in Mexico. That is the cultural trade off we have to endure. I don't want to sound preachy 'cauze you already know this. I just expect this non punctual thing and occasionally I am pleasantly surprised.

I agree that a professional should not practice the old late/noshow dance, but that's Mexico.:(

toneart , You're right. I absolutely expect time frame problems or no shows. But he kept looking at me and signing it would only be a short time while he stopped working on the guy in the chair and dealt with other walk-in business. The other 3 times I've seen him there were NO problems. I think next time I go to SR I'll try the walk-in method. Wish there was a dentist in Mulege.
