Got Something New Today...My FM-3 Card
Yahoo!
Yesterday around 3:00 pm I went online to check the status and was pleasantly surprised to see:
"Notificacion en ventanilla"
I hit the print button and was third in line this morning at INM. Fingerprints was taken and ten minutes later I was given my laminated FM-3 card.
The hubby and I turned our paperwork in on May 12th so it took exactly two weeks at the CSL INM office. Oh yeah, mine was ready not the hubby's. Go
figure...however according to their website @ 2:30 pm...it is ready. Guess he will be first in line manana...just in time since he is flying out on
Friday.

Congrats on the card. We are up for renewal in early July but can't take 10-14 days at that time so are going to do it Nov/Dec and pay penalty. I am
curious if you did it all yourself or if you used an agent in La Paz?

Any body know if when you're all finished with the FM2, can you get a card like that too. I haven't been into the Servicios Migritorio office in
years and the book is not going to last the rest of my life.

Yes. The cards all look similar, the FM3 replacement is gray, the FM2 replacement is salmon pink (at least it looks like that in the photos), and
there's a card for Inmigrado which is blue.

Thanks for the update! We were in Cabo Immigration about 10 days ago. We got our secret password but haven't been able to get it to work. Did your app
number and pin work right away, or did it only work when the card done?
Thanks

Tod...we did everything ourselves. Pretty straight forward and not too complicated plus it saved us about $100 USD each. Total cost per person was:
120 pesos for photos plus 1,294 pesos for FM-3.
We live in Cabo and have never had any problems at our INM office...knock on wood!
maspacifico...so you have turned in all your paperwork and you are trying to monitor the progress online? If that is the case I don't know what to
tell you. The only problem I had was at first I typed the web address incorrectly. Once I realized what I did was wrong and then did it right...I
was able to sign on. If you are doing everything correct and still can't get on, you may want to go back to CSL INM office. There may be a problem
on their end...like a screw up and it is not be processed. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Thanks karenintx...
Monday is our provision day so we'll see what's up. Everything went in and we had the right address, but we've never been able to put our number in
and check progress. How could anything possibly go wrong?

Has anybody received the blue Immigrant card yet and if so, what was the process where you did get it? We are in San Felipe.

got my new FM2 in 6 working days in Ensenada but everyone else is now waiting 2-3 weeks longer because they ran out of the blank cards for FM3 and
FM@. They also said that TJ and Mexicali were out also so they couldn't borrow any from them. Typical IMM

We will have to get our new FM-3 cards in November after we return to Mexico. I'd like to get the photos taken here in the US. Maybe I won't look
like I just escaped from hell. Can anyone tell me the requirements for the pictures?

Be careful, they just changed the requirements! You are required to get "Infantil" size which is different than US passport size (they are smaller).
You need 3 from the front and 2 right profile. I got mine done at OfficeMax across the street from Costco in Cabo for about 40 pesos. They use a
decent digital camera so if you don't like what you see, they will take another shot. I suggest you get the pictures here in Mexico from someone who
knows what they are doing.
