Welcome to Nomads fish. Tell us a little about yourself.

We live primarily in Buena Vista and are always looking to meet local providers of services. Do you have some local referances or projects that we might be farmiliar with?

You can reply on the board so that we can get to know you (and make fun of you) or you can reply to an individual via u2u (top right of the page).

Again, welcome....hope you have some good stories and a thick skin.....dt

Best of luck to you!

Montana State at Bozeman---nice place. Spent a few days there a few years ago visiting my son who was building a challenge course for the University. Loved the town and the area. Son lives in Missoula, but believes the only good Montana winter is one spent in Baja!

Sounds like you have found a way to make Baja full time---hope it is going well for you and welcome.

DT,

I am in the Los Frailes area, so Buena Vista, and Barriles is a little far north. I am looking for houses between Los Frailes and Vinorama, or close to them.

As far as projects go, I was as an engineer I was on the following projects:

1. Phase 1 of the new Oakland Bay Bridge
2. Lake Casitas Dam seismic retrofit in Ojai/Ventura
3. The Port of LA pier 400 transportation and railway bridges
4. The new Septic Plant in Winlock, Wa
5. The Anacortes, WA Enviromental Cleanup/Shoreline restoration-Project Manager
6. Happy's Inn to Libby, Mt US2 highway Rebuild and Reroute
7. Story Hills, Bozeman, MT Waterworks Project
8. many smaller projects as well, that had durations of less than 1mo.

I have also constructed many houses(timber frame) from ground up including foundations to roofing, installed irrigation systems professionally, painted professionally as well as remodeled homes.

My physical skills include:
1. Carpentry
2. Painting(interior/exterior)
3. Basic electric wiring
4. Basic plumbing
5. Mechanically inclined(lots of time wrenching on cars as a hobby)
6. Heavy equipment operation
7. Irrigation Systems
8. Solar Maintainance
9. Welding (don't have a welder at this time)
10. Pools/spa maintaince and troubleshooting

I currently manage Villa Las Dunas(See Snell real estate or bajavillarentals.com) and have done so for the past year since I have been legal to work in baja.

I can also provide you with facturas, so you can write off your expences should your accountant wish.

I am married to a local girl and have access to family to help facilitate your projects, as well I have working relationships with people in construction, windows, metalwork, generators, solar equipment, Satelite internet and television installation, mechanics, immigration paperwork providers, accountants, laborers and basic caretaking personnel. I also have great relations with backhoe operators, dumptrucks, watertrucks, appliance repair, HiFi installations...You name it!

I am also cerified with Hazwooper(enviromental), certified Rough Terrain forklift, and backhoe and of course cerified in CPR!

I am an avid fisherman as my name implies..This is actually the name of my tackle company in the states that has taken a backseat for the time being...And the name is trademarked, and I own the web address....so don't try to steal it:lol:

Please pass the word along,

Thanks,
Matt

If you have a web address, especially if it relates to your property management business, post it as a part of your signature with a small statement. That way every time you post, there will be a reminder of your business.

Good Luck
