Current Real Estate Market

Hi Nomads,

Am currently looking to buy a house between Rosarito and La Fonda area. Prefer stable American community and a ocean front place. I have been looking for about 5 years now and found a place I really like. Seems to me that while there are alot of sellers, most still are way over priced. I really want to hear from as many people as possible about how to determine current prices in this area. My feelling is that prices are still dropping and will continue to do so for the time being.

Really want to buy now...any thoughts about how to get a fair deal??

Thanks

Discuss making an offer directly to the owner and be polite.

Prices these days are nothing but emotional. Since sales have virtually ceased, there is no market to compare prices. There are some people down here in PB who are walking away from their houses due to the lack of buyers.
It's good to hear you want to join the community, but if I were you, I'd hide my enthusiasm. Do a lot of homework and you'll end up with a very good deal.
