Bummer (or Not ?)

I "Almost" watched the Soccer match, but there was a PBA Bowling classic from 2001 so I was in a quandary. By the time I resolved the dilemena, the match was over. To assuage my misery over missing out, I'm consoled with the Barrett-Jackson 2010 Orange County Auction. It's not as exciting as Soccer or Curling, though.

The result itself was for the best, I'm sure.

The United States has too much to answer for regarding Black Africa and defeating Ghana would add another indignity to our overbearing mistreatment of the Black Race.

In defeat, we can feel refreshed and assured that we have done proper Penance.

Balls on. Toot those horns. May the best Third-World Dibblers win.

Anyone ?

Well, SOMEONE Will !

It's not unexpected that, since the USA exited, the Cable Media mostly exited along with them.

Now that the Mexicans are gone, I imagine the remaining coverage will dry up.

Hope for the Future

Of U.S. Soccer. Courtesy of a Prominent (second-generation) Communist.

Ariel Dorfman.

Writing in today's L.A. Socialist Peoples Daily Worker (L.A. Times), after establishing his credentials by whining about his family being driven from the country by Joe McCarthy, he expresses the "Guarded" Optimism that Soccer's future in the U.S. will prosper BECAUSE "The Idea of American Exceptionalism is under SIEGE ".

According to the Dorf, once we get over our thinking that there is something special about the United States and accept the idea that we're no better than anyone else in the world, we'll be more willing to embrace the World Sport.

SO, once we get over our obsessive self-esteem and become proper members of the World Socialist Proletariat, we can take our proper place among the International Dibblers.

After Nigeria was eliminated from the World Cup, the Nigerian goalkeeper
personally offered to refund all the expenses of fans that traveled to
South Africa.

He said he just needs their bank details and passwords to complete the
transactions.
