Can I yell and jump up and down a little bit on this without seeming to be a boor? Loss of a friend is awful. Sergio a very good friend of mine lost
his life a couple of months ago in a terrible head-on (not his fault) and I am still reeling from the loss...
The BabelFish translation was indeed horrible, but if I got my facts straight the crash was reported after one o'clock in the AM, an hour after
midnight.
The woman was found a distance of 15 metes from the vehicle. This indicates that she wore no seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
She paid an awful price. Her friends must be doing likewise. Greatest condolences.
Don't do this to friends. Don't drive at night and wear your seatbelt!

What terrible news. Bless your heart, Jerry... you have been such a great help and friend to so many Mulege people. Who else has strapped a kayak on
the belly to a 206 to haul it down for a friend? Joyce, a retired school teacher, and her constant companion dog.. great friends to me and so many. So
sad.

"Where was she coming back from at 1am? was alcohol a factor?"
i am sorry but that is pretty lame and frankly classless to speculate here. this just happened - why would you think such details are in the public
domain yet and what about such a post is even close to appropriate with her only gone 4 days? or ever appropriate for that matter - this isn't the GD
nat'l enquirer.
You didn't know Joyce and you should not question her behavior. We and others here have known J&J for a decade plus.

Thank you, Capt. Mike, for reminding us of the common decency and sensitivity that is required of human beings during such times of tragedy.
My sincere condolences to Jerry and family. RIP Joyce!

Bad timing...Bad taste, for sure. Abductor seems to have had a similar tragedy in the recent past, so maybe we can try to understand his lapse of
tact.
