CAUTION-Campers on the beach.

Just got this from Cherly of BPE..

Bernadine,
I wanted to tell you some info since you are there alone now and pass
it on to the appropriate people or authorities if you think necessary.
Early Monday, July 26th before 7 a.m., I walked north up the beach to
Algodones and saw 4 adult Mexicans and at least one (possibly 2) small
child sleeping on the beach. They were just to the south of the
houses in Algondones where the arroyo opens to the beach. The area
where Vidal takes care of the large beach homes, one is owned by Susie
from SF Bay area. What concerns me is that there was a very dark
green, newer model Jeep Cherokee parked nearby with Calif. plates.
The latest BPE posting I read this morning from the Donna and Woody in
BV who were robbed said the suspects were driving a similar jeep. One
of the males was VERY heavy. I could see his profile under the
blankets (at least 250+lbs with a very large stomach). All were
sleeping as I walked north. The other couple was awake and sitting
up in their blankets as I came back south. He looked 30ish and also
heavy but not as big as the other male. She was similar age and size,
shoulder length hair pulled in a pony tail. I did not recognize them.
We greeted each other and I didn't think much until I noticed their
nice car and CA plates. This is the first time I've seen "locals"
camping on the beaches up in our area. The only house that looked
occupied is owned by Linda and Ken from Laguna Beach, the northern
most, red house with the infinity pool that Valentine built. Vidal's
houses looked vacant. Maybe Vidal or Gabino may have seen or know the
people I saw sleeping on the beach. The descriptions of the BV male
robbers did not mention if they were distinctly big/heavy. I don't
know who to contact or pass this onto but wanted you to aware and
alert (as I know you always are). It could be nothing, but after
latest info on BPE, a red flag went up in my mind. Take care.

BPE ?

Algodones (on a beach) ?

Bernadine ?

Maybe some more details for those of us who are not as familiar with your corner of Baja, as to what you are talking about, please?

Did you call Vidal or Gabino to tell them? I'll pass it on to Suzie and Wendy now. Thanks

... the 27th was a long time ago, we need to work together faster.

On one hand, I have to ask whether the writer ever thought to notify the local police, in the event these may have been the same folks?

On the other hand, it's sad, in a way, to see folks get worried about Mexicans camping on the beach in Mexico.

The police?

The poster is not worried about campers, they are worried about people who fit the description of late night thieves.

"Mexicans camping on the beach"

"camping" with tents, coolers, fire ring or stove, i.e., proper equipment in a recreational area for recreational purposes, versus vagrant type behavior is distinctively different.
