I think your photos are awesome and what they do must be a real rush...just I have had enough locally of it. I do wish them well and hope they have a heck of a time in Baja.

Yes, I do understand how an inconsiderate rider in the neighborhood could become a real annoyance instead of a real adventure.

I hope someone else spots them on their journey. Thanks Pompano, Irene, Eli and Mike for looking and enjoying.

We saw them flying overhead as we camped in La Bocana. Very cool. no annoyance here, just in awe of the adventure they must be having :)

They...or at least 2 of them...are here in Loreto. Saw them late yesterday afternoon flying from the end of The Desert Inn and circling the marina...

It looks like a lot of fun to me, and a unique way of seeing the coast. Anyone know how long they can remain aloft?

I did not think to ask that question---but we may hear from them to exchange some pix and if we do, I will ask.

They passed over my head at sunset yesterday while I was surfing.
A spectacular site as they were backlit coming from the north and then disappeared over La Poza hill with the sun lighting up their colorful "wings". I imagine they would be in San Jose by now.

Diane,

There was a time when you would have been swept off your feet by such an encounter.

redMesa = are some of them in Punta Abreojos permanently ?

BajaFam - I was not in town but would have loved to have met you since I read about your travels all the time !! Next tim you are in La Bocana, please stop by and visit Blanca and Les - north end of Calle Erizo.

Les did see them flying, but as I said, I was not in Bocana at the time - for sure a different way to appreciate Baja ...

Come visit La Bocana
