Another year...

...under our belts - congrats to Doug for putting up with all of us for the eighth year, as of 8/1/2010;D

Thanks again for the opportunity to massage our egos, trade lies over an ice cold Pacifico, share our Baja experiences, and guide some of our amigos over some rough and smooth roads along the way...

Also the great timely exchange of info and pictures during personal emergencies, storms, and those other times of need have been invaluable to those involved, as well as the rest of us that have the chance to provide some 'back up'...:D

Well done, and happy anniversary...
Ray

Doug
Thank you, I have been a menber for a year of your 8 years. I have so enjoyed this site very much. I have seen many places that I would never get the change to see and semi meet many people though words.
I am sure most if not all enjoy this as much as I do.
Keep it going please.

Doug, AKA: Baja Nomad,

Thank you for having this place where we can congregate and trade ideas and from time-to-time exchange barbs. Thank you for your patience with me and others who have been banned and brought back into the fold under their same screen name. Well my new screen name was changed with your permission. I hereby pledge to try and be civil… Well, let’s just say I pledge this until the next Nomad ruffles my feathers.

Thanks again,

David Elinvestig8r M

8 yrs.? With my San Diego State math, that
puts it back to 2002, before that Amigos de Baja?
Run by, I believe, a guy named Robitalle?
or close to that spelling. Wonder how many
Nomads go back that far? Thanks for the
Bajanomad site

Some, who knows!

Amigos de Baja went off the air in mid 2003, about a year after Doug started the new Baja Nomad Forums. Doug was ready to handle the Amigos gang and gave us a new home.

Eric, Earle and Trish (who together operated Amigos de Baja) attended all the group events some of us Amigos de Baja put together... My Viva Baja parties of 2000-2003 and M's BBBB events in Baja of 2001-2002. Having Amigos actually meeting in person and becoming real amigos was something they appreciated from our events. Earle is a registered Nomad and has posted here a couple times. Another Baja forum has taken the name 'Amigos de Baja', but it is NOT the same.

Looks like Mike Odell and I will be neighbors in a couple of years. Plan on parking my RV in the same park.
