Thanks Perry

Cool... a decorative map that hung in a hotel lobby...

This rare souvenir map came from the century-old Hotel Geneve in Mexico City. "The most legendary Hotel in Mexico" It was created in 1931. The map features classic pictorial images of history, culture, industry, and tourism.

here is another piece of it:

Actually DK, it was probably sold in a gift shop there. The Hotel Geneve is absolutely opulent and the map is not up to that standard. I believe the map was probably also not exclusive to the Geneve as that name is on a sticker affixed to the map.

WOW! THanks Vgabndo! That is one amazing picture and one amazing lobby (or wherever). I had no idea. I have about 20 more fishing spots I need to get to on the Cortez and then another 10 on the Pacific and then I can concentrate on the mainland... Oh hell. Never mind. I just need to get to Mexico City and forget all this fishing crap. :tumble:

Mexico City is beautiful, ugly, cultural, sophisticated, and deadly all at the same time! :wow: LA/New York on steroids. :( I have spent several weeks there, and never again. Give me the wide open calm of Baja any day.
