I guess then that's only for presidential elections. I used to hear election days were 'dry'.

If I am not mistaken,
The carpool lanes are open to everyone on weekends and holidays. But used as Carpool lanes during the week.

Not too many people seemed to know about the carpool lanes on Sunday!I know they are open during the week but also on the weekends, its just that the 3
people limit is not applied(from what I could see). All the other lanes we blew past looked like about a 45 min. wait!

El Gato Y B. Runner
We left before your post came so we ate at Haliotas, Abulon Pacifico. Great people, but not the Abulon that I prefer it to be. I like the"bottle
pounded" style rather than the"perfectly cut and not-browned "(but tender) kinda style. Next nite was at El Rey Sol, I ordered in as I had spent a the
day with my family at Estero, with great margis and Pina Coladas! Had Lobster, Very fresh, not frozen previously, and it was to ....well you
know!Could not find a decent (or any!) fish taco stand in town! Don't particularly like the tacos by the fish market.Guess I did'nt do too bad with
my menu anyhow. Gato, got your U2, and next time we will make sure to visit this place! And to Bajarunner, I am trying to explain to my Mom and Dad
,leaving in two days for Estero, just how to make sure to get in that lane!(they are old Baja veterans, circa 1955)! I told them to stay in the right
lane of the "border fence road", then stay to the right of the yellow cement blocks. I kinda was napping when we entered that area, but thats what I
remember. Anything you can add to help with my directions for my Mom and Dad? Gracias Amigos, Sally

Right lane...
Sally, the "right lane" thing started a couple months back when we came through with a trailer load of custom lawn furniture on a Friday evening.
My brother-in-law, Jose, lives near the border, he insisted as we caught the back of the line before the bridge, "keep right, keep right!"
We did, it was great.
I posted that and got a lot of heat for "airing a secret"
The so-called secret is that the left lanes don't divide until very close to the exit plaza, while the right lane divides numerous times as it creeps
past the souvenier booths. So, as you stay right, your lane keeps splitting, ergo, twice as fast.
Good luck with it... this does not take car-pool and fast track stuff into account.
