Live Theatre in Punta Banda: KITCHEN WITCHES
Just in time for the full moon and Halloween, the Gertrude Pearlman Theatre in Punta Banda (between Ensenada and La Bufadora) presents The Kitchen
Witches.
Show times: Oct 23 @ 7:00, Oct 24 @ 2:00, Oct 30 at 7:00 and Oct 31 at 2:00.
The theatre is located in Campo La Jolla. Advance tickets are available at Villarino's Mini Market in La Jolla. $7 USD in advance, $8 at the door.
Isobel Lomax (that's me!) and Dolly Biddle are two "mature" cable-access cooking show hostesses who have hated each other for 30 years, ever since
Larry Biddle dated one and married the other. When circumstances put them together on a TV show called The Kitchen Witches, the insults are flung
harder than the food! Dolly's long-suffering TV-producer son Stephen tries to keep them on track, but as long as Dolly's dressing room is one inch
closer to the set than Isobel's, it's a losing battle, and the show becomes a rating smash as Dolly and Isobel top both Martha Stewart and Jerry
Springer!
"Canadian playwright Caroline Smith has whipped up a hilarious tale."-Simcoe Times-Reformer
"Take a handful of animated actors, add a lively and responsive audience, let the plot thicken and you get a savoury show that's sure to please even
the fussiest palate."-The Orangeville Banner

Just got back from seeing the show. It was great! Your fellow Nomad, Bajabound2005, played her part as well or better than the off-Broadway production
I'm sure. The other two ladies in the play, Irka, and Sonya, never missed a beat and all three of them together made it work.
There are three more shows and you must come and see it if you are down here in the next week. For $8 dollars you are getting your money's worth and
there are refreshments at intermission that are free.
If you really want to see a very good production and laugh a lot then come and see it.

Why can't someone make a video of the production so it can be enjoyed ad infinitum? Maybe the Salon could make a Peso or two on the sales.
