When we left last week, the first oil coat was down on the last part being paved. They were not working on the final coat at that time, but hopefully they started up again and finished it. But the dirt was in good condition and it was around 8 miles +/-

However, in driving the road out to the Bahia Asuncion road, be careful. They recently repaired the road from Vizcaino to the turn off for Bahia Asuncion, but some of the repairs are breaking down already. The big pot holes are beginning to appear again mainly on the part of the road not far out of Vizcaino----past the ejido. NOTHING like it was before, but be careful and keep your eyes open.

Roger (or Diana)... is there a page on that site for town news or road conditions that show or tell of the new pavement? I didn't find it just now, thanks!

Yes, there is a page for such information---as soon as we hear it is totally completed from the other community members involved in the Community Website it will be on the Current Events Page with photos etc. Hopefully it will be before we get back down there which will be soon!

Thanks for asking

Update

Current update from Bahia Asuncion

Last coat of pavement not completed yet, so still the 8+/- miles of dirt.

Holes near Vizcaino are growing.

Arrggh! It was such a pleasure not to lose my hubcaps this summer!
I'm sure its still 110% better than it was last year.

Oh, at least 110% better----it was worse than awful before, it was a nightmare, as your hubcaps found out.

Let's just hope all the promises to redo it completely will happen!
