Places to eat
In light of the recent La Fonda events, I thought I would share this with you guys.
The new Ortegas in Puerto Nuevo is the place to go. Although it is in Puerto Nuevo (tourist capital so don't go on weekends) it is worth the visit.
It has a better view than La Fonda, use the bottom patio and you are right on the water.
And it is similar to a trip to Pirates of the Carribean as far as ambiance and decor. Friends came down last night and ambiance was their first
objective as far as where we ate. It was a hit.
By the time we got our lobster quesadillas, lobster stuffed shrimp, mexican combination, and chicken fajitas, we were so full of jalape?o cheese
biscuits, chips and salsa and salad, that we were able to have complete meals just a little while ago.
The lobster is higher priced than most of the restaurants in Puerto Nuevo but none can compare with the view.
I think this was our fifth time there and each time has been a treat!
4 people, 2 pitchers of Margaritas (hic.) $90.00 including tip.

Thanks for the tip. I'll plan on stopping by at the end of the month. Looks like mid-week will be the best idea.

Isn't that what they are famous for?
Puerto Nuevo Grilled Cheese Village
Mid week is the only idea nowadays. I've seen as many as 6 tour buses and the streets packed in both directions for 1/4 mile with tourists cars.
Every weekend!

I was there on 6/29, a Tuesday and they were closed.
I don't know if they are regularly closed on Tuesdays or just that week.

Tom,
last one on the right as you enter, end of the street. climb the stairs all the way to the 3rd/top level and sit by the window.

Uh oh Mike
That's the wrong one. The new Ortegas is to the south. You go down the main street to the end . Turn left and go straight into the new ortegas parking
lot at the end of the street.
This one sits right on the water. Mike's Ortegas is cool too but not on the water.
