Just saw/heard Los Lobos in KC last month. The first hour or so of their set was accoustic. Great concert, great band!

Have you had a chance to listen to "Tin Can Trust"?

I have to say I think it rivals "Kiko", my favorite of their albums.

Their cover of the Dead's "West LA Fadeaway" is classic.

I've had it since the day it was released, definitely one of their best though Kiko is tuff to beat! One of my favorite things about seeing them live is that you can always count on one or two Dead renditions. Any yes, they nail West L.A. Fadeaway!

A lot of great talent were members of the Blasters over the years.

Dave Alvin........

Hollywood Fats...probably the most unsung blues guitarists I've ever heard who died way too early. RIP

If you haven't already bought it, get Forgiven, there most recent album. 12 of the 14 songs are awsome.

The Garza Brothers are the Spanish beach boys 3 brothers with great harmonies and interesting lyrics.

I didn't know Los Lonely Boys changed their bands name. I have their debut album and saw them in concert with Los Lobos a couple of years ago. They put on a hell of a show. The guitarist kicks burro. He did some Santana and Stevie Ray Vaugn inspired solos that were great. Will check out their new album, thanks for the heads up.
