Baja Calendar - The Wonder of Baja

With the tireless help of Jan del Rio and Carlos Fiesta's family, and the generosity of some professional photographers and nomads, the 2011 Baja Calender has been completed and sent for editing and compilation, and I hope to have it printed before Christmas. So those of you who have ordered early, don't dispair! For those who have not, you can still order at www.bajacalendar.com. Carlos had done most of the work on it previously. Thank you all for your continued support and please spread the word! I know you all will enjoy it.

As a few of you know through U2U's I had ordered a number of calendars on November 9... before Chuck left for his trip to his beloved Baja.... and ultimately to his tragic, untimely death.

Because I ordered the calendars directly through Chuck, (as opposed to the website), I didn't know what to do.

I recently received an email from Marv saying he had seen my email to Chuck and wanted to know if I still wanted the calendars as he knew I wanted them as Christmas gifts for my Baja friends and that he and Juan were going to finish this project in honor of and as a tribute to Chuck Chambers, a/k/a Carlos Fiesta.

Of course my response was ABSOLUTELY!

As Marv posted, while they may be a little late, this calendar, for me will forever remain a reminder that we never know when our number is up, and live every day to its fullest. I will continue to buy them every year for as long as they are in production. I hope all of you will consider the purchase of the Baja calendars...

In honor of and tribute to a great man, Chuck Chambers!

Thank you Marv and Juan...

Linda

Thanks to Marv!

Marv really stepped up to the plate on this! What a great way to honor Carlos. It would not have happened without Marv jumping in and pulling all the pieces together. What a "Calendar Saint" for sure! I'm ordering 10. I need to give one to his widow, daughter and those who spoke at his memorial service as well as a few at Juan y Juan's!

Thanks, Marv for offering this calendar to the public. I remember our Jeep group purchasing a few dozen during our Baja Grande event. It is great that you are doing this in honor of Carlos Fiesta.

Heard from Marv today (Tue.) that the calendar went to the printers about 11:30 and he thinks it could be the best calendar yet!
