Tourist stuck in lagoon
My water delivery guy just told me that the bomberos in San Jose rescued a tourist who had gotten lost in the lagoon and was stuck in muck up to his
arm pits for two days and nights.
Apparently he was walking back to his hotel in the dark and made a wrong turn or tried to cross where he shouldn't have. He was reported missing at
his hotel and the search was on. He was spotted two days later and the bomberos used kayaks to rescue him.
That poor fellow will have interesting stories to tell about his vacation.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

Just wondering where he might have been to begin with, if he needed to cross the lagoon to get to his hotel. Seems maybe he has more problems than
this post would imply.

That is all the info I have on this. I know the lagoon is much deeper than usual since it did not break through to the sea last summer. Water is right
up to the side of the Presidente Hotel.
No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

He and his wife were going to the marina, she got tired and came home. He wanted to take photos and said he would be back by a certain time and never
showed. He tried taking one of those famous "Shortcuts", and it turned out to be a 2+ day detour.
The story was in the Tribuna.

Yes, welcome back. I figured we had seen the last of you, and I have no clue as to why.

I've been doing some serious fishing and catching up on work, now that the weathers turned.
I also was spending way too much time on here. If I had stayed DK would have been #2. I was doing something like 30 posts a day during the heat of
the summer.
Thanks for the welcome backs

We took a bike ride last weekend to the end of San Diego Bay...Imperial Beach. My 10 year old got too close to the sludge that is the bay and was up
to her thighs and sinking fast! Luckily daddy was able to grab her around the armpits and pull her out! I thought I was going to have to make a 911
call to get them both out! It was very scary for all of us...I can only imagine the tourist in the lagoon!

I remember when that was a lonely beach. Used to run there 30+ years ago.

Two days and two nights up to his neck in muck?
Uh, how was he able to................oh, never mind.
If this was summer, he'd probably be dead. As it is, I imagine he's got a pretty bad sun and wind burn.
