That is cool, and every day, but it's a short time promotion.

I've tried every combination, leaving this day or that (lax to cabo) and I can't get CLOSE to the fare they have advertised. Anybody else have any luck?

Alaska holds us So Cals hostage - even with the "great rates" it's over $400 from Lax to Loreto. Then add $25 for each bag each way, so if carrying your rods and a cooler add $100. No flights from San Diego. The dates I typed in had "1 seat left". Good luck to all.

Gotta love Alaska Airlines. My sister works for them and they are the reason I've been flying to Cabo for the last 20 years!

I won't tell you my price as one of her designated guests...but it sure beats the $400 price above.

you should try Spokane to Loreto..... It's even getting very tough to use Alaska Visa companion fares. I think they have about 20 seats per flight and you have to book about 4 months in advance.

Alaska currently flies to 9 Mexican destinations, and carries more passengers to Mexico than any other airline. I believe they once flew to Cancun, but not do so any more.

(Since the demise of Mexicana, the market has become even more favorable for Alaska. Latest news on Mexicana is that sometime soon, they will restart service with 7 leased planes serving 11 destinations. No word on which destinations, or when they'll be back.)

Is it me, or has anyone else ever noticed the shear incongruity of seeing the smiling eskimo on the planes while parked in tropical locales?
