Good Point, where in WA and where in Baja

Mukilteo,wa and the eastcape, bcs.

We owned a place on Whidbey Island for about ten years and I cannot tell you how many times we took the ferry in and out of Mukilteo. Finally decided that we preferred a more tropical climate. But, geez, it is so beautiful there. Especially when the sun is out.:lol:

Edited for silly spelling errors.

I love Whidbey...I am pleased to say it has basically survived what has become of the rest of the puget sound region. We can thank the ferry for that.

..and yes the sun does help. I was just in Muk, 3 weeks ago. It is still beautiful, but just not the same.

Well if everybody else is going to babble , I will join in,

I used to go down to the Edmonds ferry and the boat house and rent a boat when I was 12, row around and try to get rock fish, now you need a power boat, hell I could not row that far now!!!! At thirteen would take the ferry to Whidbey Island and ride the bicycles around and over to Oak Harbor stay at a friends Aunts house and rent a boat at the boat house and fish their.

Times change and I feel like an antque, afraid to let the grand kids go to a park!

The ferry was a great excuse to stay out all night when we were in hs. It quit running at 2am?? so we'd tell the folks we missed the last ferry home, and continue to party it up. I didn't have a curfew, but all my friends did so it was a great excuse for them.

I miss the boathouses they were so cool as a kid, I lived in pacifica, ca for work for a yr and lived on lindamar beach, in one of the boat houses. it was just like being a kid again in the boathouses with lots of people launching 12-14 boats down a slide made of greased wooden poles.

My grandfather kept our commercial fishing boat in a boathouse on steamboat slough, in the offseason. I loved that boathouse too. I just love boats and the ocean.
