The Acorn and the tree

Sometimes the acorn ends up a long way from the tree; to wit:
The following from my oldest son's FB page:
I scored 95 points on one play in scrabble today! Played "jinked" (off of the other player's "inked") and "ajiva" with a double-letter on the J and a triple-word on ajiva.
For the curious, "ajiva" is one of those words you pick up playing scrabble and would never use elsewhere. It means non-living things (like space and time) in the Jainism religion.

I've played entire games and not scored 95 points....

This is Baja related as we have killer Scrabble games in Baja.

I scored a 167 by stretching the word "diverted" over two triple score squares a few months ago (includes the 50 extra points for using all seven tiles)...wish I could pull that off more often
