I'm a Ruger kinda guy...
...On our recent trip over into the 'wilds' of Nevada, we took several of our 'companions' to blow out the kinks and 're-qualify' our aim...It's great
to be near the great outdoors of BLM land to explore...
My favorite is my Old Model Ruger 357 Magnum...bought it new back in the 60's, still handles like a dream and it's 'report' alone will scare most men
or beasts!

...9mm, good for close in 'protection' with 15 rd clips...even without the 'stopping' power of it's bigger caliber cousins, the noise will deter most
attackers, even if you miss em'

And of course...
...I've also got a Ruger Mini-14, Stainless, .223 Remmington, original model from the 70's...picked up several grandfathered 30 rd clips before
California outlawed em'...
Great rifle for all around general usage, except big game, of course...a fun piece to 'chase' metal targets...

Mexray................I have the same old model, three screw, 357 Magnum Ruger Blackhawk!
I bought it for $87.50 in 1964. It was stolen in 1980 and was returned to me in 2005 by the Orange County Sheriff Department.

I hunt with a .41 Mag and love it. It may not be as powerful as Clint's .44 but with much less recoil, it's sweeter shooting and powerful enough for
most any North American big game. I'm not interested in hunting elephant. It was especially nice for canoe hunting in the swamps of NC. Few long
shots anyway and made it unnecessary to drop the paddle to pick up a rifle. I hope to use it for Jabali here in AZ. I'll take accuracy over power
anytime.
For CC, I have a 5 shot .38 with no hammer spur to snag on clothing. I wear a lot of guayaberas in the summer, so it fits nicely inside my belt. It
may not have the firepower of a Glock, but I can't imagine a protracted gun battle in my future, so it's enough. I procrastinated and never got
around to getting a CC license. Now I don't have to. I love Arizona. Actually, I almost never carry, but it's nice to know that I can if I'm
concerned about safety traveling somewhere in AZ, like Mesa maybe. Unfortunately, where I'm most concerned is in Mexico.
All my childhood I wanted to be older. Now I\'m older and this chitn sucks.

An Arizona Department of Safety Officer pulled over a pick-up truck owner
for a faulty taillight. When the officer approached the driver, the man

May I ask what you are afraid of?
Mr. Smith locked eyes with the officer and calmly answered,

I had the same gun in the 44 Mag. Was shaving lead badly. I sent off to the factory for an adjustment via UPS and that was the last I saw of it. I
still have the Ruger Carbine that uses the same ammo.
