San Francisco, CA June 2011
Took a quick weekender to SF from the OC last weekend. Arguably, I believe San Francisco to be one of the most beautiful cities of the world. Left JWA
at 10pm on a Friday (flight delay from 8pm due to weather) to SFO and cabbed into the Warf Area. Saturday was a killer wander about the warves, a
jaunt to the de Young Museum in the park, and a dinner show. Sunday was another visit to the cable cars and some urban nodes before heading out, back
to JWA via SFO. All went so beautifully well! Enjoy the Imagery!
The 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica is a favorable comparison to the vive in SF
Great getting around easily...but crowded!
Farmers Markets are best!

Thanks for the picture tour Vern. It is a beautiful city with lots to do. It's been 20+ years since I was there but I'll go back soon, I hope.

I don't see how I've managed to survive this long without one of these.

My home town! I live a three minute walk from the DeYoung. I run in the GG Park every day. I love Sf even though it's totally whacky.

I love S.F., I will be there in a couple weeks for 4 days.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

I am glad to see in one of your pictures the black guitar player at Ghirardelli square steps, he has a great sense of humor. I have not been in that
area of the city in a few years. I cross the bay bridge into SFCO less often now.

Were there still alot of sea lions on the wharf? We were surprised we saw so few last time we were there.

Yes, a few off in the distances I recollect. Mostly seals, like the one astern the boat on the dock.
