Where are there Boojums, Cardons, Bighorns and Condors???

But not in BAJA???

Why, in San Diego County of course... at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (formerly the Wild Animal Park)!:o

Saturday, Baja Angel and I took out grand daughter Savannah there for the first time... She just turned 10 months old!

So, we first saw the meercats...

Then off to Condor Ridge...

Sarah was happy to have her baby back!

Looks like a fun time! Great photos. Everyone is happy!

Now you are off to Shell Island, right?

That's a fun place---good place to go when you need a mini-Baja fix. The Living Desert on the other side of the mountain has some nice Baja stuff too.

Love the look in Savannah's eyes!

Love the full "Tecate" spread of the Vulture sunning.

All are beautiful, wonderful!

Grazie! Bravo!

Viva the Boojum and Cirrio???! Gonna do one in a back yard...somewhere!

Yes indeed, and that is a California Condor with the wings spread (of course a condor is a big vulture)! Yes the boojum is the gringo name for the cirio tree. If you are seeking a baby boojum to plant at El Vergel... the closest ones are near Coco's Corner, 20 miles + south of Gonzaga Bay.
