Well Bill, I made it, and you had too much fun last night! The Malecon was rockin' this afternoon. Great music, and more white people than I've seen in a year.:wow: The cruise contingent made a nice deposit into the La Paz coffers today. Great to see the place jumping for a change!!

It was mid 90's in La Paz yesterday, and the boys layin' down the tunes were workin' up a sweat! Thought a few times somebody was going to short-circuit themselves!!

La Katrina is normally a nights only disco. All done up in Dia De La Muerte decor. The locals did not know what was going on. It spilled out onto the sidewalk because it was so packed. Heck, they ran out of Pacifico about halfway, and I had to drink a couple Coronas. I hope this is at least an annual thing, if not more often.

They are in Loreto today. If yesterday was a true indicator, Loreto will be rockin' this afternoon as well!

I didn't arrive until nearly 2 but stayed til the end when they closed out the set with a couple of great Santana renditions. La Katrina definitely wasn't prepared for the crowd. At the end they had waiters carrying in cases of cerveza like pack mules

I would love to go fishing. I only arrived last Thurs but spent the weekend helping to coordinate the Mar de Cortez swim event. It started at Pichilingue Sat morning about 0700 and the swimmers went north around a bouy at Tecolote then all the way back to the malecon to the palapa near Papas and Beer, a 35km relay swim, arriving between 3-5. All monies raised by the event went to "Por Ellas", a local group of swimmers raising money for breast cancer. Previous events have provided a mammography machine to the local hospital.

The wind is up today (thankfully cooling things off a little) but I would love to go fishing whenever you want. I'll be here for a month before going home for the holidays. PM me when you want to get together

Jon-- Sorry I missed the show but Micheal Burks is starting us cruisers off today as we leave Loreto. He`s called "The Iron Man" and rocks!! Glad some folks made it to the concert, Elvin Bishop played too late for me and I ran out of gas.
