She is pretty, but a little nuts in my book.
Your first picture says it all. Barry A.

wow! was she solo? about ten years ago saw a solo female biker just south of the mountains of el rosario.got ahead of her pulled over and flagged her
down.my intent was to tell her to be CAREFUL as this was not a great road to be riding on, especially solo.turns out she was from canada had read
about biking in baja and thought it would be a great adventure. she was wanting to know how to get to la paz, where to stop along the way, etc.she had
been campimg alongside the road each night on her way down and was packed light.she thought it to be a great adventur, and i am sure it was.anyway, we
had lunch and i offered her a ride to bola turn-off-she declined.i heard she made it to bola and not sure after that.GNARLY!!!

Graham walked... I think he would agree with all who thinks riding a bike on Mex. 1 is nuts. Perhaps they made it, but think of the lives the bike
peddlers put at risk... when vehicles pass them... there's just no room for errors, south of San Quintin. Good picture JR!

if it comes to hitting a semi head on or a bike getting hit the bike will allways loose. the road is not wide enough for bikes and i tell them all the
time when i see them that they have a 50-50 chance of making it alive, some have opted for a truck ride instead.

Returning last week from trip we passed an accident in Ensenada with a bicycle rider run over by a car....must have just happened as no police or
first aid on the scene.....it was not pretty....

Did anyone read about Lois? Check out this girls story.... she rode her bike from the Arctic Circle in Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, the
most southerly part of the world that one can reach by road.

Dave and 4baja- i agree.it really is nuts to bike it down mex 1, and it definitely puts vehicles and those in them at great risk, and if push comes to
shove, the bike is going to lose.....

venturi
All correct - There doesn't need to be a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle to have an accident.
Sometimes if the car or truck pass by fast enough then the wind can suck a bicyclist off course. Venturi effect is powerful.

Fumes
One has to wonder if breathing air near the road is a wise idea too.
