Tropical flowers

One of joys of living in the tropics -- we have several huge elephant ear plants in and around our patio and from time to time they give us the most interesting flowers.

Looks like the plant is on your property, Jorge. Si?
I'll look forward to seeing it in person in about 4 weeks, buddy!

I cant see the leaf to I.D. your plant....but did you know that the Alocasias are primarily used for their ornamental purposes, whereas the genera Colocasia and Xanthosoma are primarily used as a carbohydrate food staple in tropical regions of the world?

Great looking flower...indeed!
