I think he's a Rosarito apologist....ignoring the facts of the day to promote an area that defys legal interpretation for it's seeming acceptance of the lawless state, and it's completely corrupt police department.

Don't ask me.....ask Zeta. I believe they know.

BobY has his own agenda which discounts a truthful evaluation of life as it is in Rosarito. That he is disingenuous, or to say that, is as kind as I can be.
Actually, he's courting the lie to make his points.

I signed up to view the videos on the link- but was never approved. Nothing I have ever sent to that station was responded to. Dennis has it right.

Maybe some of you should get together and put out your own broadcasting news in the Rosarito area in English.

That way you can report bad news, and only bad news. You of course would never want to report any good news story, because there isn't any good news story, because the news is always bad coming out of Rosarito according to these bad news types.

Of course only posting bad news about Rosarito is OK, and bad news posters could never be themselves accused of having an bad news agenda, because they are just telling it like it is, according to them, the bad news bears.

We of course have a hand full of "Nomad" members who are really into negative news about Baja. You never hear them utter one good word about Baja, because they seem to live to tell the bad news.

Had another execution around the corner from the house yesterday. Third one in my area in the past month. At 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon no less. Shooters ran right by my house...

All is still 100% safe in Rosarito for tourists though. The Sinaloans have taken over the police and military here according to Zeta magazine. From my perspective, Zeta got it right.

(This is one of those posts some Nomads hate because it is written by a US ex-pat who is living here- not passing through to catch a fish). Just part of the "shift" and social decay of Baja we should be aware of- but not necessary cause us to love or visit Baja less- just to be more vigilant. (When it gets so bad that I bail out of town- I'll let you all know. :) )

The article says the dead guy was living with an American girlfriend named Megan Brandt, and her two little children, aged 2 and 3 years old. The dead guy went outside when his name was called and he was attacked by two pelons (shaved-headed gang bangers) and they killed him right in front of the children who were eating. I'm not sure, but the kids may have been eating delicious fish tacos at the time, so everything balances out.

Cheaper and more effective than the police. If that article was reliable, it sounds like the victim wasn't exactly a shining example of virtue...

But I am a little confused... for the life of me I can't see anything in that article mentioned above, about the girlfriend being "American". You happen to know where that came from?

[Edited on 11-27-2011 by lencho]

no. I only saw him driving a car (once with blood dripping out the trunk as he went by) or riding his horse. He spoke English and had American deportee friends he did business with. A few of the deportees have American lady friends and kids in tow. Why they would intentionally expose their kids to this life is beyond me.

BTW- The American killed in his BMW here last month lived a few houses away from this guy.

Joe- you have earned the right to ask NOTHING of me. What you have failed to accept is that BAJA HAS CHANGED and so do the posts that describe it. Take into account that people views on Baja and the inhabitants will change with time passing and the situations they and others experience. You can go from loving Americans to hating them- but the posts and your history will follow you. Well except for people who change their names every few months...

can you back up your accusations of people spreading lies with some facts? (That would be an off-topic post Joe- but I won;t be going there to read your lame rants and excuse).

Like I said in the "OT' area Mengano is incorrigible. He has no respect for forum rules or forum members that dare to disagree with him.

Note the last line about Jihad Salman. Mengano swears up and down that I'm this Jihad character and I live in Temple City. Mengano/Fulano has also claimed I was at least 10 other people too.

I could say something funny here about the so-called pictures but it's the main forum, and I respect main forum rules.

Nice photoshop Fulano, but I was thinking more in the lines of Asian Triad stories about the Tong and the Yakuza gangs not far from where I live. These Asian gangs do terrible things in South Gabriel Valley, but you don't hear anybody telling the residents to live in fear like you alarmists do.

I think you forgot that you live in Moreno Valley when you post on TJAmigos.

Very weak Dennis. It's no wonder you never join us in the 'OT" area.

Where I live should be of no concern to "Nomad" members. It's a shame that some members of "Baja Nomad' use use personal information about others to try to shut them up, and make them go away so they could post negative news about Mexico unopposed.

Us??? Who's us??? You try to make it sound like you and all your fans in there have formed a Coffee Klatch.

Another thing.....if it was so weak, why did you have a problem with it?

Ohhh....I know. Caught you in a brazen lie...huh. Trying to divert attention away from it....huh.

Why don't you take your games back to OT, Joe? You're getting a bit too comfortable here on the civilized side.
