Sweet silence

I awoke to the sound of silence; After 3 days of the winds constant howling, the moment of perfect still silence was oh so profoundly loud. I lay in total darkness savoring the sound of no movement and than the wind returns to speak more gentle now, but quieting the silence, I do love perfect silence.

The winds have been howling over here on the Pacific side, too!:O Tuesday was the first calm day since last Friday and a welcome warmth. Just read Pompano's post and pics of the windy drive south. At least our days are in the high 70s/ low 80s! BCS is prolly the warmest zone in all of North America right now; Bienvenidos Snowbirds. Tio

What beautiful words...I have always felt that the silence if Baja is one of her most wonderful gifts.

I completely agree. And what a peculiar gift. One that most wouldn't see as a gift at all.

It is early morning, the sun has just risen and already the leaves on the tree outside my window have begun to do their little wind dance.

To be surrounded in Silence is indeed a gift and inner-silence, ah well, it is a great achievement that I seldom find, the monkeys do love to chatter in my mind.

" the monkeys do love to chatter in my mind."

That really does sum it up...I have a poem somewhere that addresses the 'clatter' of my mind

If one doubts the value of silence just go the Blanca's post on quads

I just can't imagin what true sielence sounds like. Went to see Silence!- the Musical, a parody on Silence of the Lambs, and it was very loud:
