Pesos/Liter to Dollars/gallon

It seems like this question pops up all the time - drives me nutz.
(the price on the pump in Pesos) divided by (the exchange rate when you got the pesos in your wallet) times 3.75.
This returns the price in 'merican dollars per US gallon. I have no idea what Canadians do.
I have this on my 'droid.

For you Comparative Lit majors send me your email and I'll attach the formula in Excel by return email. You then save the attachment to your phone and walla, all you have to do is remember how the find it on your phone. You're on your own there.
For those without a phart phone, I have the matrix 9 to 11 pesos and up to 15/1 exchange rate. Print and keep in your vehicle.

I agree, what it is is what it be but I always like to check my gas mileage and do the conversion for that reason.

Besides, I'll get upset if I find out about being "short poured" so I don't bother to try and figure that part out. Assuming the amount dispensed is more than it really takes it messes up my real MPG.

As I eluded, it's just part of enjoying paradise and the only thing one can do is avoid the stations that you think is short pouring.

It is what it is. Why bend your mind over it. There is no way it will work out in your favor. The exchange rate varys no one is going to give you posted exchange they are in the buisness to make money. when you buy gas the exchange varys from location to location in the stations favor ." fwiw...

According to info at the following link, the conversion # is 3.78541178:
http://www.asknumbers.com/GallonsToLitersConversion.aspx

- 3.8 is closer than 3.75.
- 3.785 is the number I've remembered and used for many years.

Touché
I was actually trying to poke fun at the anal-retentive types who try to calculate everything to gnat's a$$ but I see I've failed miserably. In addition, SWMBO has pointed out that not only did I 'write' an app for my phart phone for this, I also have one that takes MPH from my GPS, gallons/per/hour from my fuel sensor and calculates miles per gallon on my boat so I can get a rough idea on how far I can travel any particular day. And then she goes on to point out that each day after fishing I keep a daily log on weather, moon phase, wind and where/when/how each fish was caught. You know, "at 10:42am the inside rod hooked a 2# sculpin on a broken back pink floyd half-way down the back side of Horse-head."
But everyone does this, right???:(

Don't laugh; I also keep track of how many beers have been consumed and it's kinda weird; most of the fish are caught between 2 and 3 beers. Before that or more than that, not so much (brand does not seem to have any affect which makes sense, how would the fish know?). This got to be so consistent that on one trip we tested this theory by drinking one beer before we launched and drinking another on the way to 7 mile reef. Sure enough, double hook up on the first drop. Science is our friend.
