If you understood the Spanish, you would know that the gringo starring in the video, Greg Berger, is blaming the entire war on drugs in Mexico and all of the 40,000+ deaths on the US. In his anti-American logic, the Mexicans have no guilt whatsoever in this. They are compelled by forces beyond their capabilities to resist producing, transporting and selling drugs to Americans, and killing each other in bizarre ways.

The thesis of the video is the Mexicans are simple, mindless children, incapable of thinking and acting for the greater good of their own country, so the Mexicans have no responsibility for any of the problems in Mexico. It is all the fault of the US which calls the shots in Mexico.

The four men in suits at the beginning are DEA agents assigned to Mexico and Berger makes fun of their widows and children after they are killed by Mexicans.

Berger, who has to have the worst Spanish accent I have ever heard (although his grammar is good), is an America-hating America who moved to Mexico from New York 10 years ago and teaches cinema in Mexico. He is a socialist who also produces news pieces for Hugo Chavez'socialist revolution in Venezuela.

This issue can not be summed up and dismissed as simply as that. No way. The USA does indeed have wars going all over the world. Mexico is on the long list and yes, the Drug War is a(nother) dismal failure.

I agree with you though that Gringo Starr has the WORST Spanish accent, perhaps on the entire planet. He seems to be fluent in the language, but how did he learn it that well and not have a working accent, even by accident???

Yet another VERY complex issue that politics and money will prevent from ever being solved. H.
