Sounds great... for those of us who are not in La Paz too often, how about adding your location into a signature with your posts, so we see it each time you add something to Nomad?

Thank you... hope to visit your place soon!

Why you call them Cajun Flounders? I think that you are serving California Halibut:

Family: Bothidae (Left-eyed flounders)

Genus and Species: Paralichthys californicus

Description: The body of the California halibut is oblong and compressed. The head is small and the mouth large. Although a member of the left-eyed flounder family, about 40 percent of California halibut have their eyes on the right side. The color is dark brown to black on the eyed side and white on the blind side. Their numerous teeth, very large mouth and a high arch in the middle of the "top" side above the pectoral fin make them easily distinguishable from other flatfish.

Range: California halibut occur from Magdalena Bay, Baja California, to the Quillayute River, British Columbia. A separate population occurs in the upper Gulf of California.

Robert
Once they are cooked in a Cajun way, they become Cajun Flounders.

Location and or address would be kind of cool.

Whenever I'm in Centenario or La Paz and ask somebody for the Shack,

they just point to the house next door;D

Thanks Bob, for the info. It's the way I prepare them that makes them cajun. Since flounder is not available here in baja or the west coast for that matter I found over the years that baby Halibut works as good as you can get. I make my own cajun seasoning and fry them whole covered in real yellow corn meal. it's as close to my southern roots I can get here and there great! Stop by and let me prove it to you. As always, love, from The Shack.

@ Karl, lol, no thats not funny. We are located @ 619 Allende. Allende is the street that dead ends into the Malecon next to Los Arcos hotel and where the statue of the flying mermaid and dolpin are. If you come up Allende from the malecon the first stop sign you will see a Tecate Depository on the right, about 50 yrds past that on the right you will find, The Shack. Across the street from a yellow castle called Coconuts. We are closed on Tuesday and open the rest of the week around noon to 12 am. Look forward to meeting you are seeing you again, The Shack.
