They Have Been Open for a Long Time

We used to go go by it when attending Bernie's (Bernie's Insurance) parties at his ranch in the canyon, but this was ten years ago.

Here is a link to a YouTube video about the place:

Here's the monkey. My kids would go ape-s**t over this, pardon the pun.

I go there all the time- usually on my dirt bike. We also ride out there on mountain bikes. The Monkey's name is Pepe. You can buy him an egg at the restaurant for a quarter and make his day. The pool is the main draw. I have never stayed in the hillside cabanas. It's a great local's family place- busy on weekend. Dirt road running down Rosarito Canyon to it is either dusty or muddy, but always rutted.

indeed he is. He will steal the money from your pocket and you have to find a way to get it back. Maybe that's how he pays for the eggs when no on is around to treat him to one. It would be a blast for a group. I know a horseman with beautiful horses who gives rides from his place in centro Rosarito all the way out there. You get to run them as fast as you want or as long as you can hold on. In the hot summer he makes the run at night--- that is a little scary the first time. I always recommend Rincon Tropical because it is just so different from the beach experience.
