Tostilocos
Odd that I missed it, but this seems to be the a real SOB (and now NOB) food fad. Anyone ever tried these?

It's a regional treat VERY popular in Baja Norte. They sell it from the carts on the beach and in the border lanes. They rip the chips bag open
sideways and build the snack in layers right in the bag. Everyone has their favorite toppings. Not my thing though for sure. I prefer guacamole to
pickled pig skin on my chips.

Sell them at the high school football games here in Chula Vista (Chulajuana as some say!)
I've never tried them, but the kids love them!

Probably the same people from TJ selling them in Chula Vista, closer to home.

Sounds like an expansion and variant of the old rodeo/powwow favorite...frito pie. Cut open a frito bag and top with chile, cheese, and onions! Love
it....

They've been selling them down here in La Paz for a while, too. I had my first sample during the Carnaval, when the people that sell elotes had them.
They'd top them with chili, cheese, and corn kernels, among other things.

There most certainly is but one side to every story: the TRUTH. Variations of it are nothing but lies.

One of the ice cream shops in Loreto sold them, they split open a bag of chips and poured cheese etc. on the contents.

My daughter had some of these at her school, in National City, CA, after-school yesterday. I guess the PTA was selling them. I picked out the jicama
and peanuts without too much chili on them....my little girls enjoy the picante a lot more than their mama! They were pretty tasty, though!
