SWEET MEMORIES ...new store

Last night we stayed at the hotel cortez in ensenada and after dinner, I went for a walk on the main drag - calle primera and found the most wonderful little store, right across the street from the hotel, called DULCES RECUERDOS.

I tlked to the owner, Lucia, for a bit - she specializes in candies from all over mainland Mexico. and she has the most beautiful bags to put the goodies in. I lost my camera in santa rosalia a week ago (#$%^&*) so I have no pics at the moment. I bought a ton of bags and goodies as my mom's 79th b-day celebration is tomorrow.

If you want something radically different and a showy bag to put it in - this is the place to go. she has chocolate and more. much more. the reason I walked in in the first place ??? I recognized some of her goodies from our trip to oaxaca...and chiapas..

Valentines day ...Mothers day ....Christmas !!!

Bob: they all took bags home with them ??? how wonderful is that !!! I loved the store, so glad they did too...

woody - thanks for the birthday wishes - you met mom once, remember ??!!

nope, capt, for sure I left it in a cab in santa rosalia ... I had just taken photos of kids in a parade, jumped in a cab while Les was at the bank, and left the camera on the seat when I got out. Dumb dumb dumb. But if you found a camera in catavina and don't need it, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez feel free to share it with me
