God in Baja

New God In Baja

It’s a pretty heady mixture we’ve concocted. First we made a whole lot of things to kill people, we have them stored and ready to be delivered by huge rockets all over the globe. Then we brought back the Holy Wars. The old Holy Wars were mostly fought on the ground or on horseback. A Holy War is fought between people of different religious faiths – the differences in their Gods, their faiths becomes the thing that drives the killing but the armies use many reasons for attacks; territory is the big one, water, oil and crops are often involved.

You have to have a good reason to kill another human being. The good reason in Holy Wars is that your God “told you to kill the infidels, infidels are those who have their own Gods, no Gods or any entity that is not your God.” That’s all there is to it. Pretty simple stuff really so to return to a peaceful condition around the world and insure a peaceful future for all we just need to have a great Reformation. This new Reformation must be the Mother of all Reformations; we need to find a Brand New God who hates wars and killing. He (it) needs to be a benevolent being who forgives every human who ever lived for any wrongdoing before, during or after his life on earth. He says “you can never get to the new, better heaven if you kill another human being.”

The Brand New God will need a brand new Bible or Book of Rules. This new one needs to be very, very simple, easy to read, translatable in all major world languages so that the meaning of the words cannot be misconstrued by those who might later become Separatists like the English Pilgrims or Fundamentalists like many modern cults who seek to kill others in the name of Religious Revision or Re-interpretation of religious doctrine. In my view the moral/religious/passion chapters in various Religious Rule Books are fanciful and sometimes archaic and barbaric. Some of the teachings advise the faithful to kill others, seek revenge, sacrifice animals and people in the name of the supreme entity lauded in the book. It will be necessary (in all the languages the new book is printed in) to make sure the title contains the words New and, of course, Final.

To make the New Religion work we will need to give people incentives to join. The best incentive would be to offer a heaven on earth; this will entail redistributing some wealth right from the get go. Sexual satisfaction is the big promise of some major cults such as the Islamic Fundamentalists so along with wealth redistribution there will have to be some sexual favors passed around soon after initiation. The theme can be tantalizingly simple: Heaven Now, Wealth Now, Sex Now, No Waiting.

It might be a good idea to have the Brand New God make a statement that The New Religion has no problems with current Gods/Dieties. New God can allow that there are many other Gods, that He is not the Only God but to get the Heaven Now, Wealth Now, etc.etc. new believers must affirm that they worship Him above all other Gods. (He would have to be the Head God). He can say he really is not a Brand New God, that he has been here all along, watching, waiting until he was needed. He didn’t step in until the nuclear rockets/Holy Wars situation became critical.

It is written that when he’s on earth, he lives in Baja Sur, Mexico.

Great sentiment. Thanks, Osprey.

Some questions/could you deliver a message, please?

- Does this Head of The Jefes God live anywhere in your neighborhood?

- Does he rent or have a fideocomiso or just go camping?
Is God in possession of a valid visa or-- a'shunder to think of this-- is this God an Illegal?

- Is God in Southern Baja just in the winter tourist season or have you seen God there in the summer?

- The kicker: If there in the summer would you ask God to please cut back on the humidity?

I a one of the "God is Dead" crowd. After the holocaust and the more recent religious genocides, it is hard for me to believe a loving God is still active in our lives. How could he let 6 Million Jews die horrible deaths in his name. All these people pray to survive natural disasters- but if a loving God was active and present, those horrible events wouldn't happen in the first place. jmo.

This Baja Sur God chooses to stay (WOP - when on planet) down here from May thru October. He has no power whatever over what his mother (Mother Nature) does -- no God dares to deal with Mom, so he just hangs here because it is so nice.

He does not own or lease or rent. In his all knowing realm, Mexican contracts have little legal value but represent a rustic and colorful facet of the culture and as such deserve his consideration and respect.

Don't press me too hard on this stuff because I know him, he's a neighbor but we don't hang out together. I can't say we have much in common. I don't make friends easily.

This thread reminds me of an old Mexican saying "pobre Mexico, tan lejos de Dios y tan cerca de los Estados Unidos" (poor Mexico, so far from God and so close to the United States).

There most certainly is but one side to every story: the TRUTH. Variations of it are nothing but lies.

Neptune is God! words by XTC....

Dear god, hope you get the letter and...
I pray you can make it better down here
I don't mean a big reduction in the price of beer
But all the people that you made in your image
See them starving in the street
'Cause they don't get enough to eat from god
I can't believe in you

Dear god, sorry to disturb you but...
I feel that I should be heard loud and clear
We all need a big reduction in amount of tears
And all the people that you made in your image
See them fighting in the street
'Cause they can't make opinions meet about god
I can't believe in you

Did you make disease and the diamond blue?
Did you make mankind after we made you?
And the devil too!

Dear god don't know if you noticed but...
Your name is on a lot of quotes in this book
And us crazy humans wrote it, you should take a look
And all the people that you made in your image
still believing that junk is true
Well I know it ain't, and so do you
Dear god
I can't believe in
I don't believe

I won't believe in heaven or hell
No saints, no sinners, no devil as well
No pearly gates, no thorny crown
You're always letting us humans down
The wars you bring, the babes you drown
Those lost at sea and never found
And it's the same the whole world 'round
The hurt I see helps to compound
That father, son and holy ghost
Is just somebody's unholy hoax
And if you're up there you'll perceive
That my heart's here upon my sleeve
If there's one thing I don't believe in

It's you
Dear god

I love that song woody. I remember hearing it as a kid and thinking I was gonna burn in hell if I didn't turn the station. But I didn't get struck by lightning, and now I realize how silly that thought was.

Dear Man;

You have found the cure for a desease that has hampered 50 million people in your great country alone. Your have used your abilities to aleviate a burden to many that suffered a terrible fate of inconveniance. You have conquered the fetus.
God.

Funny it's always them (Him) not us.

I figure that our supreme entity ascribes to the notion of "If they're not smart enough to figure it out (survival) for themselves, then screw "em". It's beyond horrible watching a toddler die of cancer, but it instills steel in our soul to find an answer.

The best answer I can come up to for the question "Is there an afterlife?" is to retort "If not, where were you before you were born?"

Life After Life
Gerald Francis was killed instantly. He had lived a full forty one years. His life ended suddenly, tragically when his small private plane hit the ground at almost 300 MPH. Before you mourn for this stranger I will inform you that he had been a good Christian, a practicing Catholic and his soul went right to heaven, as promised, the very instant his heart stopped pumping.

His mother, Bernice Francis, had died four months before Gerald’s sudden departure. She had been in poor health for a very long time and finally succumbed to the cancer that had invaded her intestinal organs. Gerald was by her side when she passed away. It saddened him to see her wasting away and he was somehow relieved to know she was on her way to the Great Reward Beyond.

When Gerald popped into heaven there were no pearly gates, just tree lined paths and a few pedestrians. He singled out a man near the side of the path.

“Hi, I’m Gerald Francis. I just got here. I need to find my Mom. Do you know who might know, where I can ask?”

The tall, thin man said “Maybe I can help. What’s her full name? I need her age, her date of birth and when and where she died.”

After Gerald did the math on her birth date he gave the man the information he requested.

“She’s down that way. Just keep walking down this pathway in that direction. You’ll see lots of big buildings. Look for the hospital. She’s in the hospital.”

“Hospital? There are hospitals here? Here in heaven? Why would there be hospitals?”

The thin one spoke “She was sick. She died of her sickness, she needs care.”

“When she died, when she got here, didn’t God make her whole again, make her young and healthy, like she was when she was just a girl?”

“God promised Everlasting Life. He didn’t promise that one could relive the life they had. What kind of menu would you supply for Eternity? Would you like God to reform your mother to suit your picture of her as young, healthy and happy? How about her picture of that? Perhaps you would like God to make her prettier, smarter than she was. Would you like her taller, straighter teeth perhaps? If a newborn baby dies, how would you like the child to spend Eternity? As a teen, an old man or as a babe? Your mother will live forever. Is that not enough?”

An old man using a walker passed close to the two men and addressed himself to Gerald.

“You didn’t think it through did you? The heaven thing, the Everlasting Life thing, you didn’t give it a lot of thought did you? Well, neither did I. Practically wore out my old knees trying to make sure I got here. Don’t know if I thought I’d be playing basketball or running or what but I didn’t expect this. I just didn’t think it through.”

Gerald addressed the tall one “What about my soul, my Mom’s soul?”

“You are your soul. It’s your essence, your body is a home for, a storage place, a transport vehicle for your spiritual essence. Would you rather not have a body? Would you rather spend eternity as an amorphous vapor of spiritual energy, drifting among the heavenly clouds, unseen and unseeing? I think not. Life after death should mimic corporeal life.”

“Who are you? How do you know all this? What’s your name?”

The tall man speaks “I’m what you call an angel. My name is Gabe.”

“Were you ever alive?”

“I was, I am, in the hearts and minds of every believer.”

Gerald grows bolder “Well, this was not what I expected. A feel cheated, I....”

“Measure your words Gerald. I know you. I know your history, the depth and breadth of your religiosity, your spiritual successes and failures, your immorality, your occasional inhumanity. Gerald, you are very lucky to be here. You are here because of your mother. Her love for you is complete, almost Devine. Her reward is not complete without you by her side. The mechanic for your airplane, Bob Stoltz, Jr. was having a bad day and replaced your gas lines with those having a larger diameter. Nothing remains of the lines to bring the FAA investigators back to him for questioning.
Think of it like this: it could have gone the other way.

Chalk it up to, your mother needs you.”

Here's a quote about death that I've always liked:

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”

-Mark Twain

Seeking the Answer

To the Ultimate Question.

Since SO many express the wish to KNOW that answer and there is ONLY one way to do so, a case could be made for helping them to attain their wish.

I'd certainly like to assist quite a few given the opportunity.

As I'm sure others would.

It's our charitable nature.

if any of you guys are old enough... is there an Echo?

Good God, You said, is that the only thing You care about?
Splitting up the money and share it out
The cake's being eaten straight through the mouth
Poison, poised to come back in season
For all the ones who lack reason

Measure by measure, drop by drop
And pound for pound, we're taking "off"
Of all the treasure still unlocked
The love You found must never stop

The king is dead and long live the people who aim above
All the simple stuff never understood
Like right from bad and wrong from good
Deny that You were ever tempted by the lie
That there's an answer in the sky

Measure by measure, drop by drop
And pound for pound, we're taking "off"
Of all the treasure still unlocked
The love You found must never stop

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

N-n-never stop, n-n-never stop, n-n-never stop
N-n-never stop, n-n-never stop, n-n-never stop
N-n-never stop, n-n-never stop, n-n-never stop
Never stop

Measure by measure, drop by drop
And pound for pound, we're taking "off"
Of all the treasure still unlocked
The love You found must never

Measure by measure, drop by drop
And pound for pound, we're taking "off"
Of all the treasure still unlocked
The love You found must never stop

Never stop, never stop, never stop
Never stop, never stop, never stop
