Any Recommended Activities in Guadalajara??
I'm headed to Guadalajara and Vallarta areas with the family soon. Any recommendations or must see's? Thanks in advance.
Want to surf as well so if anyone has a favorite rental shop, let me know, as I'm not bringing boards with me.

Horse buggy ride through old town center/ plaza de mariachis/trips to Tlaquepaque, Tonala, Lake Chapala or Tequila. Just a couple of possibilities.

Thanks Rainer. I'm taking notes. It's been about 15 years since I've been there, and last time I was solo and 21 yrs. old.

HI Ateo - I was just in Guadalajara/Tonala/Tlaquepaque in March. There's a two-decker hop-on, hop-off tourist bus that stops at most of the major
sites in Guadalajara. If you're interested in Mexican muralists, there are very nice Orozco murals in the palacio del gobierno downtown (it's one of
the stops). If you're staying in a hotel in Guad., they can probably tell you where the nearest stop is. It's only $9-10US for the whole day, and a
fun way to get an overview of the city.
PS - also on that downtown stop, you're within easy walking distance of the central market - there's everything you can imagine there. A whole city
block, two stories high. Great prices! And, it's fun!
Here's the link for the tour bus:

Not in Guadalajara. This is the dry season. Maybe PV, but not bad, rains don't start for another month or so.

If you have time, go up to the Hotel Tapatio on a Sunday for brunch and the Folklorico Dancers. Flan at it's finest.
The "in house" Mariachi Band that plays in the Fiesta Americana Hotel Bar on Sundays are also worth checking out. Tight. They have a great buffet
there, too.
Another good restaurant option is "Estancia Gaucha" , run by a family from Argentina. Try the shrimp empanadas, churrasco steak and italian salad. It
is a large, popular place, out on the Periferico.
