CA Central Coast

I spent two days in Morro Bay last week with dive buddy Gary. No diving for me, I am still "grounded" from arthritis surgery on my left hand two months ago. Gary did two nice dives under the North T-Pier and I did topside camera duty.

Insane pictures Ken. Love the color versus black and white. I'd love to print these out and put on my wall.

HDR at its best! Great images. Two, three and the last one are my favorites!

Looking very forward to you getting back under the sea with your camera!

Gorgeous photos! When I moved with friends to SLO in 1981 we looked in Morro Bay for a rental and I remember some of the ads said "view of the stacks". We always thought that was a strangest thing to put as a plus in an ad, lol. Some things you get used to and it doesn't seem as bad now. There are Black-crowned Night Herons nesting in the eucalyptus almost in front of the stacks, just a hair to the south. I've been hearing and seeing lately when I go to work.

Generally I'm not a big fan of HDR. It makes every landscape look as though Edgar Allen Poe had conceived it.

However, image #3 is an exception. It's really quite beautiful. I really don't know enough about the technique to understand how an image may appear to be largely colorless and yet have some objects well colored.
