First rain in 6 months! (San Diego, CA)
Well, we have had 182 days without rain here in Southern California (great for my irrigation business), but Sunday AM and again this morning we are
getting it... mostly today and is poredicted for the next two days!
I can't complain, because if we don't get any rain, then there will be no water for irrigation, even!
Another note for those of you from out of town passing this way to Baja, gasoline in San Diego is running $2.34+ at Arco AM/PM or independents and
higher at others and next to freeways, per gallon. Suggest you plan it for a fill up in Mexico!
While it rains, I am stuck indoors... maybe go to the used book stores, hunting for Baja books!

Yahoo !!
Rain at last !! David, if you get tired of the bookstores, bring down some buckets. El techo no sirve !! hahahahahaha
We had a bunch of friends down this weekend. A good portion of them followed the Mexican law of not bringing gas down. But, all those empty gas cans
were full for the return trip !
My, how things change!

Maybe you should change your latitude? Down here at 33 degrees North, it is dark by 7 (6:30 with these clouds) today. In the summer it is 8 before
dark. In the winter with the time change, dark at 5 (I hate it).

Rain here somewhere near Rosarito
Hey, do some of you suffer from insomnia?
Anywhooo, small cloudburst on the coast around 2:30 am, lasting about twenty minutes,(according to the anemometer, .08 inch of rain).
Lovely fresh smells came in through the windows, but also a nasty mess from the wind that pushed all the dust from the screens and such inside, which
became mud on everything in range. Oh well, sigh.
The ocean fetch has been very strong recently and the population of migrating pelicans, terns and egrets has swelled significantly in the last few
days.
Winter is fast approaching.

anemometer
Gypsy Jan, this device measures wind speed.
It has nothing to do at all with rainfall amounts.
Sorry, mc

OK, OK, OK...point taken.
But anemometer seemed a lot easier and faster to type than "West Marine Weather Base 10 Home Weather Station".
Whew, I'm tired and I think I'll go lie down now.
By the by, the anemometer function is now telling me that we are getting steady winds with gusts up to 35 mph.

comfty, and went to the store to buy food, a lamp, batteries, etc etc.

How many of you keep your gutters clean all year round? My next door neighbor has never cleaned his gutters - and you should see the water flying
over them - some weeds growing out of them... etc. Keep you gutter clean for a well oiled home! There is nothing like seeing the water flow off the
roof and out of the bottom spout of a real clean gutter.... now, back to work.

P.S. - keeping fresh and clean windshield wipers on your car comes in 2nd place!
