New Zealand Vacation
Audrey and I are in New Zealand for the month of October. What a great place so far, and wonderful people here. Will post a trip report and photos
when we get back to San Deigo. This place is amazing!

That is terrific Bob!! It is such a beautiful a green country... I was there just for a day while en route to Australia (to get a visa in Auckland for
Australia), so we had some time to kill before our flight to Sydney... The taxi driver gave us a wonderful personal tour of Auckland and the area.
That was back in Dec. 31, 1969, when I was 12!

Explored Rotorua today... Very interesting thermal activity there!
Lots of lamb and wonderful prime beef to eat here.... Fantastic!
Today was sunny skies, no rain. Unreal scenery!

Eat a peppersteak meat pie for me.
I spent 9 months travelling there 12 years ago.
One 10 day period on the South Island, I didn't see another human.
It was great.
Got lonely, and spooky, surfing alone so much.

We are headed to Wellington tomorrow and will take the 3-1/2 hour ferry to the South island to continue our journey Southward, we are having a blast!

Wow, we continue to be amazed at the scenery here! We are now in Queenstown for the night and will head to Lake Te Anau, we will spend the night and
on the next day take an all day cruise in the Fiordland National Park to Doubtful Sound departing from Manapouri, across the lake there, then by bus
on an island, and then back on another boat all around Doubtful Sound. Have already taken over 800 photos.

I did the same tour into Doubtful Sound. Fiordland is truly awesome. Enjoy. Lemme know if the bus driver from the lake to the sound cracks jokes
the whole descent.

Wow, a great tour, and yes, the bus driver cracked jokes the whole way over! When did you go?

I was there from January to November of 2000. The trip into Doubtful Sound was the only organized trip I did. I bought a Van in Dunedin for 350us$,
put a new transmission in it(100us$) and circumnavigated both islands more than once.

We are now spending the night in Dunedin after driving around the Otago Peninsula. Wow, what a stunning day, very nice weather, no wind, gorgeous
beaches. We found a secret surfing spot! Will show you incredible pictures later. Toured the Speights brewery this evening, wow, good stuff! What
a vacation we ad having. Working our way to Christchurch and will fly home on Oct 25th

This tour let all of us take over the bar, with SIX different beers, for a little over 30 minutes after the tour. How much free ice cold beer can you
drink in 30 minutes?
We found out! What fun we had there...
