I don't understand this.

"Atm Fee 100912plustermbbva No/informadmulege Mx1 $ 2.50
International Processing Fee $ 14.23"

I went to the bank in Mulege Sat. Oct. 6 and was charged 60.00 Pesos + another 6.00 pesos = 66.00 pesos.

My friend also got 6,000 pesos and was charged the old rate: 19. ?? pesos = 3.?? pesos = 22 pesos for her transaction - 3 minutes before me.

I don't understand what they are doing with these bank fees.

Do You?

We just opened an account with Citibank because of their affiliation with Banamex.
I hope these fees are not adopted universally throughout the Mexican banks!

citibank and banamex are connected but you WONT save any money or fees...they will still charge

even bancomer usa and bancomer mx are operated as different banks in different countries

i've tried it

Thanks, B&S!

The Citibank officer assured me of the two banks' cooperation and lack of fees.
Perhaps I will run into that situation when I live in BCS and have a residence address to open a Mexican account with.

This is what I was told by Citibank:

I can transfer money from Citibank to Banamex without fees, if I have a Mexican Banamex account. I.E. put 1000 Pesos in the Banamex account and leave it. Tranfer whatever funding one needs from Citibank to Banamex. Then make the appropriate withdrawal from the Banamex account...no fees involved!
