Asuncion Quinceanera
Last night the sub comandante's daugher celebrated coming of age at La Cancha. It was a beautiful ceremony and extra fun for us because we invited
Udo, Jana & Iflyfish to the fiesta as they had never been to one before. The theme colour was my favorite shade of purple and a good band from
Guerrero Negro played....apart from the chilly north wind, all was like a fairy tale...here are some images from the evening.
Here is the entourage of family & padrinos
here are the 10 damitas who were pretty chilly
here are the padrinos with the womanly shoes & the barbie doll she gives away signifying giving up her girlish toys
the father came over personally to open the champagne bottles for the toast...he was a very proud papa!
Iflypaparazzi on the loose
this was the toast to the young woman
It was wonderful to share this cultural experience with our amigos...next party.....tomorrow

beginning too....maybe there was a two for one sale?

Wow, that was great! Looks like fun....
The SAME boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It's about what you are made of NOT the circumstance.

I'm looking at the photos for the first time here at Mama Ezpinoza's...(the closest I've come to my home internet).
Now I see why you didn't answer the door at about 8:15 a.m.
FABULOUS experience, Shari!
p.s. thanks for the re-touch job our Jana and my photo!
