Merry Christmas, Roger.
So pleased I am to find you back on the board again. I guess you know you were missed.

The inability to leave doctors behind and visit Baja is a situation which I fully understand can be frustrating. But as you say, there are wonderful way fun places to visit right here in the U.S. May you enjoy many of them during this time of returning good health. I will certainly be looking forward to your new non-Baja trip reports.

Well Rogelio...
I don't log in very often but you got my fingers to scratching the keyboard. So glad you are back and communicating.

I too, am stuck on the north side of the border for the same reasons as you. Fortunately, the nurses are in fine form here. I hide from Nurse Ratchet. She wants to Indian Leg Wrassel, and that is always a losing battle.

For the time being, you had better stay in So. CA. The weather here in Northern CA is horrible. We have already accumulated twice as much rain as last year. Staying alive here is a crapshoot: 100'+ 100 year old Cedars are falling left and right. They have inadequate root systems to withstand such soggy soil. If your house is in the path, you don't stand a chance. I am in their shadow.

Rain rain snow snow...not Baja for sure! So far, no hurricanes though. :o

So, in the Spring, if you are still meandering, you always have a place to land here. I just bought a new house and when I see the sun again,(next Spring or Summer) I will break out the Cerveza and Margaritas. I will shoot you an email, and if it hasn't changed, you will then have my new address and phone number. My email hasn't changed.

Stay well, Amigo!

Antonio

...and Merry Christmas to you and all Nomads!

Great to have you back Roger!! I dodged my own big medical bullet a few months ago, and if you are stranded NOB in So. Cal I would love to meet you in person some time and compare notes, so to speak. (Although I think we did meet a long time ago in Mulege). Let me know if that would be possible! Meanwhile welcome back, you are a real treasure!!

Glad you're back. With both you and Dennis gone for awhile it was getting pretty boring around here.

Roger, I've been logging in regularly to see if there were updates from you.
It was so good to log in today and see your post!
Sorry your trip has been this rough, but very glad to read that you've re-connected with your brother. A high cost, to be sure, but I think worth the price.
Good to hear that you're following the docs orders. Like my dad always said, if he'd known he was going to live so long he would have taken better care of himself.
It's never too late to start, eh?

Happy new years Rogelio, again, so good to have you back on the board, the place just warmed up a bit.

Hey Dennis,
You too have spent some time on the brink. I figure the 2 of you belong to a pretty exclusive club and can make all the dirt jokes you want!
I'm glad you're around as well!

Welcome back Pompano! I'm here SOB (S. of the border) with my family in a tiny room at the Tropicana hoping it won't rain too hard tomorrow so we can get in some beach time! Really glad to see you posting again. Wishing you all the best in 2013.
