Mood: Move on. It is just a chapter in the past, but don't close the book- just turn the page

Don Humphrey's South of the Border Mx

Does anyone remember Don Humphrey and his Yahoo group
So_of_the _bordermx? I believed he lived near Rosarito Beach. Don was a very prolific writer and had links and articles about Baja, Mexico, and Central America. Posts on his website stopped abruptly in September, 2011. Here are some links:

Sure. He used to post here...or was that on TalkBaja? Maybe both. His site looks pretty well neglected and others are looking for him as well. That's not good.

He had 500+ members on his group, and he also posted on PBBB, Dennis. I wonder if Kathleen might know, but she doesn't seem to get too involved with her members. If you have some time, maybe you could check into it a bit.

Yeah....I'll ask Kathleen while we're having Martinis out by the pool at sunset.

This may be a lead. He may be down around Todos Santos???

I remember him mentioning on his site in 2011 that he had been sick, but considering all the members he had and it was a fairly active board that I had been a member of for a number of years, there was no mention of anything happening to him on Google Search. Yes, Dennis, while you're at it, have a Martini for me!!

Don did a lot to put out lists of all message boards, but it seems to have not been maintained for awhile, with several sites no longer working...?

Hope he is well... he has been on the Internet in Baja for at least 10 years... we discussed his use of photos once, many years ago.

Yeah, David, I confused him with Mike Humfreyville, who passed away. Maybe the Rosarito posters could check into it, the last post Don mentioned was about Bob Yourell, maybe he knows where he is. At the time, I was living on Villas del Mar, in Rosarito, two houses away from the ocean, looks like it might have been right around the corner from Woooosh, but that was in 1998-99, around the time my daughter was born. Don't think he was there then,

Mike Humfreville limited his Internet activity to posting his travel stories and fun chats to Amigos de Baja then to Baja Nomad when Amigos went off the air in 2003.
