Nice photos. I was south of the border at a firing surf spot. Unfortunately my camera stopped working everytime I tried taking a picture of a wave.
:)

Trip report pending.....

like DK boasts, there are no secrets. if anyone sees a picture and doesn't know where it is it is just as good as being a secret to the uninformed ...:light: that same uninformed person (and millions of others) seeing a foto of Pipeline knows exactly where to go to find a good wave and that's when the fights start.... you all hate to scrap for waves in Cardiff, O'side or Trestles right? why is "the area that shant be named" any different?

waiting for the report Ateo! i know you scored....

edit: heading south on the 11th....

Thanks for the sweet photos, TDK. As a non-sufer dude, that spot is one of my favorites for a run and checking out the beauties of OB.

I'm just hoping that the shop with the best fish tacos in the world, 1 mile north, has completed their remodel and reopened for 2013.

South Beach Bar & Grill grilled mahi mahi is my blasphemous nomination, Wood Man. Their website says they are open for biz after approx 6 week remodel closure.

Not missing the cold water!

My old stomping grounds too. I was on the surf team at Morse high school in 1970 and 71. 70 was the first year that the school had a surf team so we were the pioneers. Fortunately for me you didn't have to be very good to make the team, there weren't many surfers at a predominantly black inner city high school...

welcome to the club ! I loved in OB /PtLoma for over 20 years !

One of my kids went to sunsetView Elementary while he was learning English. then they went to Sacred Heart Academy and stright onto Point Loma High School.

I owned the ZEN BAKERY cafe - anyone remember me ?????? The bakery was in the old building HODAD'S used to be in.

I took photos of the Cliffs this past xmas too !! The waves were beautiful and the cliff was packed.

and this is a Brazilian restaurant BEHIND the sports arena with absolutely dellicious food !

I took these photos for my brother who lives in NY and who surfed here for many years while we went to college in the 70's. Good times ! I actually lived in a house on Cordova street- a block away from sunset cliffs every summer vacation in the 70's. I was spoiled !!!!
