Diane,

Thanks for the comments. If you decide to take the plunge, keep all your DSLR stuff until you are sure of your decision. Not to mention the probability of using some of that existing glass on the new camera.

One question Ken, do you usually shoot in RAW or jpeg?

Monoloco,

Always Raw. Once you get the hang of the conversion software so it's not a burden and see the results, you will never be satified with jpeg.

Lightroom 4 has made the process so simple. You can easily batch process in minutes.

Lightroom 4 is the magic that makes shooting raw a dream, I love it. but if you are on a budget Photoshop Elements also handles Raw
