Anyone heading to San Diego from San Ignacio willing to deliver a papalote? (Kite)

I realize this is an odd request, sort of a "message in a bottle," and Im not sure where to post it but here goes:

for decades ive enjoyed flying kites in the powerful Baja winds while camping. Sometimes i bring extras down and leave with families. The kids are fascinated when I introduce them to kites.

I was at Kuyima campground earlier this month and the winds were incredibly strong due to a big storm up north. Unfortunately one of the wind power generator propellers cut the line as i was flying a kite at a very hi elevation, and the kite took off like a jet to the east. We searched the desert but had no luck finding it. I joked it was probably in Mulege at the speed the wind was blowing.

Last week I rcvd an email from the Kuyima offices in town that someone found the kite and returned it to the camp. They have it (not sure if it is at the office or still at lagoon camp) but no postal service is in town for them to ship it to me.

This is no ordinary kite- it's a handmade, very strong design to stand up to hi winds and desert plants in baja. I'd like to have it back for future Baja adventures. I don't know what shape it's in but I'm curious how it held up on the Vizcaino cactus.

Is anyone willing to pick it up from the kuyima office at the lagoon or in san ignacio while driving back to San Diego ? It is small and light for travel. i will meet you in sd to retrieve it, or reimburse you for postage.

Thanks to anyone who can offer helpful suggestions on this.

Lori

Can you get me a phone number/name to contact Kuyima ? Some kids from la bocana are there at the lagoon and if they can bring the kite back to me here in la bocana, I will find a way to get it back to you in san diego.

and here is the answer:

Hola Blanca:

Saludos

María

Garage sales are great deals for new toys (kid got 2 of the same thing for his/her bday ....wrapping paper that people are selling cheap cheap cheap and so on.

Whale-ista already helped me out !! Let's ALL help Ferna.
