Wow, we've all seen the 18 wheeler motif, but this is the first dirt biker memorial I've seen. It's too old to be for Ox, right?

this might be where our amigo Richy missed a turn and crashed his bike...such a sad loss as he was a fun guy...between Pta.Prieta and Asuncion??? I've never seen this cross though???

Des died of a heart attack while participating in a motorcycle Enduro race in the Tecate/Rancho Neji area. He was a great guy and a good ambassador for Baja and off road motorcyclists.

There are two of these memorials, one on the El Compadre road and another near where he died.
