Non-pneumatic tires comming for your off road vehicle?

www.resilienttech.com/‎

SUPPOSEDILY Michelin will be marketing these starting this coming August:
Amazing new Michelin see through tires........................
Look for 'em in August.

The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

Yes, those are 'spoke' like connections to the inner part
Of the tire from the outside tread 'wrap!' The next picture
Shows how odd it looks in motion...

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these. Just think of the impact on existing technology:

A. No more air valves..
B. No more air compressors at gas stations...
C. No more repair kits..
D. No more flats...

Is there a way to enclose the spoke portion, I foresee a problem with mud and/or rock build up within the flexible spoke portion but I really like the idea of no flats. JH

Hmmm..

How do you air it down for the soft stuff?.. Maybe some kind of boot or doughnut.. maybe you just run a wide width tire all the time?

Great question.

And how do you keep mud out of those crevices?
