Site review request

Hi Nomads,

I haven't been visiting the board as much as I've been wanting to.

I've been busy re-working my Satellite Prints website and domain name (it's now SatPrints.com). It's been a lot of work. However, I've learned a lot and hopefully it is much more user friendly than my previous site. This is were I need a little help from you. Please visit the new site (www.satprints.com) and let me know if you come across anything that should be changed to improve the site. Please pay particular attention to the Baja Collection. I would like to catch any issues with it before announcing the site to our existing customers. I welcome all suggestions.

As a small thanks, you can use the following code to save 25% on any purchase that you make from the site. The code is: nomads and it is good until 11-18-2004.

I thank you in advance and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Neal, Arman's 'Guadalupe Canyon', 'Diablo Mountain', and 'Cerro Matomi' posters cover many of the canyons you love so much!'

Wow!

Thanks Neal,

That was kind of you (I mean kind of, She Who Must be Obeyed). I hope you enjoy the prints as much as I enjoyed working on them. Are they all for you or are you giving some as gifts?

Thanks again.

Los Barriles photo you have IS NOT Los Barriles!!

Sat Man, I looked at your collection, and what you say is Los Barriles IS NOT correct.
Sorry.
I know what and where the area is that you "incorrectly" state is Los Barriles, though.
See is anybody else can find it, or know what it looks like from the air.

There are lots of homeowners here that would probably pay for a nice satellite photograph of where their expensive house is, that is, if it was correct....

Thanks mrchuck,

I think your uncertainty is because of a slight rotation in the print from due north. Take a look at the north arrow toward the lower right of the print.

To further clarify where Los Barriles is on the image take a look at the following pictures. I have added the road network and a couple of place names for reference.

Let me know if you think the print is still wrong and I will look into it more.

Thanks again and your feedback is always welcome.

Regards,
:)

Everything you labled seems to match with my maps... The smaller point to the left of Punta Arena is Punta Colorada where some may be familiar with the resort there. The town of Santiago is on this print and even maybe Miraflores (at the bottom).

What may throw people off is the scale of your images. Most of us are not used to such detail and close scale that you offer.

Also, what you see on your web site as well as what you can show here on Nomad does not come close to the detail of the actual prints that we receive! I mean in your San Felipe area print, I can make out the TREES at Nuevo Mazatlan!

Thanks David for your independent review.

Yes, the real beauty of the prints is when you see them at full size 24?x36? or even the 41?x 96? (8 feet) entire Baja.

Los Barriles it is.

Your latest photo does indeed show the Los Barriles area.
However, the first one you posted, when one attempted to "enlarge" any area of that one, always showed the "lighthouse area " of Punta Arena.
That was my point.
Thanks for the enlargement.

Hi mrchuck,

Yes, you are right. The detail view of each print doesn?t necessarily focus in on the title area of the print. They are just examples of the print detail.

Thanks again,
